Announcing the second annual tweed bicycle ride and picnic in honor of the birthday of His Hawaiian Majesty David Kalakaua. Dash the pushy competition of ordinary cycling events! Join together for a brief ambulation through Honolulu featuring tip-of-the-hat manners and the camaraderie of pedaling with your fellow cyclists, with tea at Iolani Palace.
Wot! Wot! You say. This is not a race but a casual gathering and is an unsupported ride (riding at your own risk). Tea at Iolani Palace will be provided by the ride, please bring your own tea cup and saucer (and spoon if you need one). Please feel free to bring your own picnicibles for nibbling at the end of the ride.
Time schedule:
10:30 o’clock - Assemble at Kakaako Waterfront Park
11:30 o’clock - Depart for Thomas Square
Noon - Group photo at Thomas Square
12:30 o’clock - Depart for Iolani Palace
12:45 o’clock - arrive at Iolani Palace for tea provided by the Tweed Ride with conviviality and the awarding of contests
3:00 o’clock - End
Contests: To be judged by the riders at the assembly point of Kakaako Waterfront Park; and presented at the end of the ride.

The Illustrious Lady Award (for the most distinguished attired lady rider)
