Hulo! Hulo! Honolulu bicyclists! Announcing the annual tweed bicycle ride and tea in honor of the birthday of His Hawaiian Majesty, King David Kalakaua. All are cordially invited to join this casual velocipedic ambulation – in vintage style – through Honolulu. Commencing at the historic Walker Park, proceeded by a stop at the regally festooned ʻIolani Palace, the event culminates with tea at The Lounge in the Ala Wai Community Park.
At The Lounge, indoor bicycle parking will be available. Tea will be provided by the ride; please bring your own tea cup, saucer, and spoon (if you require one). A drawing of fantabulous prizes will occur.

Honors will be presented in the following categories as selected by the fellow riders:
This is a casual gathering and an unsupported bicycle ride, riding at your own risk, with a route of approximately five miles. Please ride responsibly, obey traffic laws, and respect authorities. An effort to recreate the spirit of a bygone era is much appreciated.

- 1:00 o’clock – Assembly at Walker Park (at the foot of Fort Street Mall)
- 1:30 o’clock – Depart
- Route stop at ʻIolani Palace for a group photograph
- 2:30 o’clock – Arrive at The Lounge (Ala Wai Community Park, 2015 Kapiolani Boulevard)
- 4:00 o’clock – Fin
Honors will be presented in the following categories as selected by the fellow riders:
- Illustrious Lady, awarded to a well-dressed lady
- Dapper Gentleman, awarded to a well-dressed gentleman
- Smashingest Tea Cup, awarded to a participant for their tantalizing tea cup
- Merrie Monarch Mustache, awarded to a participant for fabulous facial follicles in honor of His Hawaiian Majesty
- The Antiquaria Award, presented to a participant for use of olde tyme materials
